Cable Cubby Series

The Extron Cable Cubby^® Series is the AV industry’s gold standard for furniture AV connectivity, AC and USB power, and cable management. These sophisticated yet durable, furniture-mountable enclosures blend seamlessly with any furniture and room décor, virtually disappearing into the surface when closed. Cable Cubby Series enclosures are engineered for fast assembly and installation on the job site. Select enclosures feature a straightforward yet elegant integrated clamp system that secures the enclosure to the furniture surface without the need for tools or additional parts. Most models accommodate Extron Retractor Series or Retractor Series XL patented, variable-speed cable retraction modules, AV cables, AAP™ or Flex55™ AV Connectivity Modules. Each Cable Cubby enclosure design enables the convenient installation or replacement of AV cables and/or Flex55 or AAP modules from the enclosure after it is installed. Cable Cubby Series enclosures are available in several finishes to complement the room or furniture style.

Extron architectural solutions include unique enclosures that best accommodate high-end environments and special circumstances, such as when cutting into the mounting surface is not an option. For example, the Cable Cubby 650 UT has an open design that facilitates easy access and expansion. The installing carpenter can fabricate a surface-matching lid for a professional appearance. The Cable Cubby 1252 MS features an attached lid that can be customized to match the surface and provide a flush finish. The lid serves as the base or can work in conjunction with an optional Tray Kit to seat the removed material. When cutting the surface is simply not an option, Cable Cubby Drawer is a modular, cable access enclosure for installation underneath the furniture surface. It includes AV connectivity and power module openings and storage space for display remotes, a mouse, a keyboard, or mobiles devices. The drawer front can be painted to match the furniture or customized using veneer or façade.

The Cable Cubby F55 enclosures provide integration-friendly, quick assembly and configuration with Flex55 and EU modules that snap into place. Most Cable Cubby F55 enclosures include standard connectivity hardware for up to four full-size Flex55 and EU modules, and, if compatible, up to eight AV cables and/or two Retractor cable retraction modules. The Flex55 and EU modules can be placed in any position within these enclosures.

The AC, USB-A, and/or USB Type-C® power modules are available for each Cable Cubby enclosure. Optional outlets include the US, Europe, and most major world markets. The Multi-Region AC outlet is compatible with a variety of AC plug types. The US modules feature a 12 A circuit breaker for current over-load protection. They also include an attached 9.5’ power cord and two 2’ power cords underneath the module to power optional AV equipment and other devices.
