Anaheim, California (April 16, 2025) - Extron is pleased to announce the versatile new SSI 100 System Status Indicator—a sleek, multi-colored backlit indicator designed to enhance visibility for room occupancy, activity status, safety protocols, and more. The SSI 100 seamlessly integrates with Extron control systems, calendaring platforms, and room occupancy sensors with no licensing required. The two-sided, acrylic lens combined with multi-color backlighting blends simplicity with architectural appeal. Wall mount and ceiling mount versions are available, providing flexible placement capabilities. An optional engraved lens allows the status indicator to be customized with information such as a room name, classroom number, or company logo. The SSI 100 offers easy installation, with the flexibility to be powered either locally or through a single Power over Ethernet (PoE) cable.
“The broad range of practical uses of our new SSI 100 make it perfect for any application where at-a-glance status can enhance workflows,” says Casey Hall, Chief Marketing Officer for Extron. “In addition to larger scale deployments, the SSI 100 is perfect for standalone applications where it can indicate room status using an occupancy sensor without the need for additional software or Extron products.”
When integrated with Extron Pro Series Controllers, the SSI 100 operates in Secure Platform Device (SPD) mode and can be configured via Extron GCP or CSDU software to communicate room status effectively. For Extron Room Scheduling and Wayfinding users, the engraved, illuminated SSI 100 adds further value by displaying room names and the status in bright green or red to indicate availability through direct calendar server communication using Room Agent software. This streamlines navigation and scheduling as part of a complete Room Scheduling solution.
