 DTP3 T 311 HDMI 4K/60 Tx - 230 feet (70 m) 60-1773-12

The DTP3 T 311 is a digital twisted pair transmitter for sending HDMI, USB 2.0, audio, and bidirectional RS‑232 signals up to 230 feet (70 meters) over a shielded CAT 6A cable. It provides one HDMI input, one USB host port, and a mirrored HDMI output. This HDCP 2.3-compliant transmitter supports video resolutions up to 4K/60 at 4:4:4 color sampling and includes EDID Minder®. For maximum image quality and minimal latency, all supported video resolutions are transported without compression. The low-profile enclosure and remote power capability make the DTP3 T 311 ideal for discreet placement within lecterns and beneath tables for a wide variety of professional environments.

The DTP3 T 311 transmitter enables the reliable transmission of HDMI 2.0b signals at data rates up to 18 Gbps, supporting HDR, Deep Color up to 12‑bit, 3D, and embedded HD lossless audio formats. DDC communication of EDID and HDCP is continuously maintained between source and display, which ensures optimal signal transmission between devices. The transmitter includes an audio input that allows separate audio to be embedded into the video stream. The DTP3 T 311 transmitter can be used with a DTP3 R 311 receiver in point‑to‑point USB extension applications and is compatible with other DTP3-enabled products.

USB Signal Extension

The DTP3 T 311 transmitter supports USB 2.0 through 1.1 devices with data rates up to 480 Mbps. It is compatible with USB 3.0 devices that can operate at USB 2.0 data rates. Integrated USB signal extension enables connection to peripheral devices over the same twisted pair cable as HDMI signals. The transmitter features peripheral emulation to support uninterrupted communication between the host and the USB device. This technology ensures USB port recognition during system boot-up, even without a connected keyboard or mouse.

Features that Streamline Integration

To enhance and simplify integration of HDMI devices and to help ensure optimal system performance, the DTP3 T 311 features Extron EDID Minder. This technology automatically manages EDID by maintaining continuous EDID communication with the source, ensuring that the source powers up properly and reliably provides content for display.

Front panel LED indicators provide immediate visual confirmation of signal presence for the HDMI and USB host inputs, HDCP status, and power. A reset button is on the front panel for added convenience. On the rear panel, a buffered HDMI input loop-through provides an output signal to drive a local monitor.

Convenient Control and Power

The DTP3 T 311 provides many other integrator-friendly features that streamline installation. It supports simultaneous transmission of bidirectional RS-232 from a control system for AV device control. Bidirectional RS-232 control signals can be transmitted alongside the AV signal, facilitating remote operation of AV devices without the need for additional cabling. For added convenience, a USB-C® configuration port on the front panel offers ready access to information and easy updating of firmware. Configuration of the DTP3 T 311 is made simple with Extron’s PCS - Product Configuration Software. The user-friendly GUI is amazingly easy to navigate. This software application allows for expedited setup, commissioning, and real-time operation and monitoring.

The transmitter can be remotely powered by a DTP3-enabled product over the shielded twisted pair cable, enabling both devices to share one power supply. It is housed in a 1" (2.5 cm) high, half rack width metal enclosure. The low-profile design allows for discreet placement in tight spaces.

To ensure optimal performance, Extron recommends XTP DTP 22 cables and accessories. These 22-gauge shielded twisted pair cables, shielded RJ‑45 plugs, jacks, and couplers have been engineered for optimum performance for DTP3 products running at 18 Gbps. Extron XTP DTP 22 cable bandwidth is verified to 500 MHz and utilizes a S/FTP design with four shielded 22 AWG twisted pair conductors inside an overall braided shield for superior performance and noise immunity.

The DTP3 T 311 is ideal for a wide variety of environments requiring extension of HDMI, audio, USB data with rates up to 480 Mbps, and control signals, including courtrooms, conference and meeting spaces, classrooms, lecture halls, and houses of worship.
