The Extron Data Logger

This product has been retired.

Data Logger is a Microsoft® Excel-based spreadsheet application that allows administrators to automatically gather up-to-date lamp hour and usage statistics for multiple rooms of AV equipment. Data Logger provides a simple, convenient way to retrieve AV system usage statistics into a single document for data analysis.

Data Logger works in conjunction with select MLC MediaLink® Controllers and the System 5 IP Switcher, collecting critical system information such as frequency of usage for each front panel input and current lamp hours of connected projectors. Data can be collected periodically and archived as a file, allowing resource usage and lamp hour consumption to be monitored over time.

Data Logger supports the following Extron products that feature IP Link® technology:

  • MLC 104 IP MediaLink Controller Series
  • MLC 226 IP Series MediaLink Controllers
  • System 5 IP Switchers

Data Logger is a free asset management tool that is ideal for schools, universities, hospitals, and other organizations with a large number of AV systems to manage. Using Data Logger, an administrator can make timely and effective decisions about projector lamp needs, future equipment upgrades, and room expansions.
