The Extron DA2 HD 8K AI is a high performance 8K/60 audio embedder that accepts separate two‑channel analog audio and converts it to 16‑bit LPCM audio at 48 kHz for embedding onto the HDMI output signal. This HDCP 2.3 compliant audio embedder includes two HDMI outputs and supports data rates up to 40.1 Gbps, HDR, Deep Color up to 12‑bit, 3D, and HD lossless audio formats. It is equipped with integration-friendly capabilities such as input cable equalization, adjustable analog audio gain control, and advanced EDID management. Extron EDID Minder® Plus delivers support for additional memory blocks needed for advanced display features. Streamlined Integration

To enhance and simplify integration, the DA2 HD 8K AI offers many integrator-friendly features beyond embedding two‑channel analog audio onto the HDMI outputs. Input cable equalization restores and reshapes incoming HDMI signals, compensating for weak source signals or signal loss from a long input cable and reducing the need for additional signal conditioning equipment. Color bit depth is automatically adjusted based on the display EDID, which prevents color compatibility conflicts between the source and the displays. EDID Minder Plus enables setting the video input EDID, capturing EDID from connected displays, and uploading custom EDID files. To reliably display and distribute 5K and 21:9 aspect ratio content, this Extron technology also supports additional memory blocks for displays that convey advanced features via both EDID and DisplayID. It facilitates proper management of the extended EDID information. Key Minder^® ensures simultaneous distribution of HDCP-encrypted content.

The DA2 HD 8K AI audio embedder enables two‑channel analog audio embedding onto high data rate, HDMI source content for simultaneous display on two displays. The HDMI outputs can be individually muted, allowing content to be viewed on a local monitor before appearing on the main presentation display. Each HDMI output also provides +5 VDC, 250 mA for powering external peripheral devices, such as the Extron HD Pro Plenum Series of active, hybrid optical-copper cables for transmission of HDMI digital video and audio signals over longer cable runs.

Housed in a 1" (2.5 cm) high, quarter rack width metal enclosure, the DA2 HD 8K AI can be mounted in a rack or discreetly installed beneath a desk. It includes an external, universal power supply for worldwide power compatibility.
