"With the new FOX 500 DA6, integrators can design fiber optic AV signal distribution into their systems, with a single AV source transmitted to as many as six displays in distant locations," says Lee Dodson, Vice President of Marketing for Extron. "As with other Extron fiber optics products, it delivers perfect pixel-for-pixel transmission of high resolution RGB signals from each of its outputs, and the same AV-oriented features that integrators have always expected from Extron."
A host of integrator-friendly features are available for the FOX 500 DA6, including active PC audio to balanced audio interfacing, RS-232 pass-through to multiple locations, and real-time system monitoring. Two models are available, one which supports multimode fiber at 850 nm for short-range applications, and the other for singlemode as well as multimode fiber at 1310 nm to support very long-range transmissions.
The FOX 500 DA6 is ideal for many installations that require long haul distribution of AV and RS-232 control signals from a single location. In digital signage applications, for example, the FOX 500 DA6 can be used to deliver video, audio, and uni-directional control of multiple, remotely located displays in hotels, airports, malls, and casinos. A multi-level building is another ideal installation for a FOX 500 DA6, as it can distribute signals to displays located on multiple floors.
