DTP3 IN2004 Series

Combining cutting edge video and audio processing, signal extension, and networked control, the DTP3 IN2004 Series of seamless scaling switchers is ideal for board rooms, collaboration spaces, lecture halls, and other professional AV presentation venues. The DTP3 IN2004 Series consists of three models:

DTP3 IN2004 DI/DO - with HDMI and DTP3 inputs and outputs
DTP3 IN2004 DO - with HDMI inputs and HDMI and DTP3 outputs

Features

DTP3 Extension

The DTP3 IN2004 Series features DTP3 extension for video, audio, and control up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a single CAT 6A cable. DTP3 endpoints are available in a wide variety of form factors and video formats to meet professional installation requirements. DTP3 incorporates advanced features such as 4K/60 @ 4:4:4, HDCP 2.3, and HDR video support to let you create the sophisticated, yet simple to use systems that customers demand.

DTP3 Endpoint Features

Transmits video, bidirectional control, and audio up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a shielded CAT 6A cable

DTP3 transmitters and receivers provide high reliability and maximum performance on an economical and easily installed cable infrastructure.

Supports computer and video resolutions up to 4K/60 @ 4:4:4

DTP3 endpoints support HDMI 2.0b specification features including data rates up to 18 Gbps and HDR video. Support of 4K/60 at 4:4:4 color sampling requires connection to a matching DTP3 product.

HDCP 2.3 compliant

Ensures display of content-protected 4K video media and interoperability with other HDCP‑compliant devices.

USB Support

Select DTP3 products are available to support USB data, USB-C alt mode DisplayPort video, and power delivery.

Vector 4K Scaling

Unparalleled Scaling Quality

The Vector 4K scaling engine incorporates Extron-engineered, multi-tap, bicubic interpolation, which creates a new pixel by averaging adjacent pixels above, below, to the sides, and diagonally of the new pixel. This produces sharp, accurate output, preserving single-pixel detail that other scaling methods lack.

Vector 4K algorithms continually and dynamically adapt, ensuring optimal processing for upscaling, downscaling, or 1:1 pass-through applications. Two less robust alternatives to bicubic interpolation are “nearest neighbor interpolation,” whereby a pixel is duplicated to an adjacent pixel, and “bilinear interpolation,” which creates a new pixel by averaging adjacent pixels above, below, and to the sides of the pixel being created. Both of these methods can produce substandard output, resulting in data loss that may render the content unusable.

Seamless Switching

For fast, glitch-free video switching performance in demanding applications, four seamless transition effects are available.

Cut through Black — instantly cuts the current input to black, then cuts to the new input
Fade through Black — fades the current input to black, then fades to the new input
Seamless Cut — freezes the current video frame, then instantly cuts to the new input
Seamless Fade — freezes the current input video frame, then fades to the newly selected input

Audio Embedding/De-embedding

In today’s professional AV installations, audio quality is just as important as video performance. The DTP3 IN2004 Series features advanced audio processing capabilities such as mixing, ducking, and muting to enable precise control for optimal audio performance.

Audio from sources such as microphones or music players can be mixed with program audio and embedded onto the video output. Audio that is present in HDMI or DTP inputs can be extracted and routed to the dedicated audio output for additional processing or amplification.

Built-in Room Automation

The DTP3 IN2004 Series couples automatic video switching and CEC—Consumer Electronics Control capabilities together to create a simple solution for intuitive meeting room control.

The monitor is automatically powered up whenever a video source is connected, and the last connected device is always shown on screen. When all devices are disconnected, the display is powered down after a preset time.
